The EGS through the volunteer efforts of its members has built the several databases about Escondido Genealogy described on this page. San Diego County Vietnam War Deaths:
This is a list of North San Diego County names which appear on the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. The list originally appeared in the North County Times on 23 April 2004 (page A-8) and was compiled from the following website http://thewall-usa.com.


California Iraq War Deaths:
This is a list of military personnel from California killed in Iraq as of March 2004. All names were taken from a list in the North County Times, dated 21 Mar 2004 (pages A-6 thru A-10), except the following which came from the San Diego Union-Tribune: Gonzalez, Victor A.; Rocha, Moses Daniel,; and Gardner, Derek, L.


WW I Vets:

This list was compiled from both obituaries and WWI registration cards on file in the Pioneer Room at the Escondido library. If there is an entry in the column under obituary, that obit is available in the Pioneer Room of the Escondido City Library. They will do Obituary Research Requests to look up the actual obituary.
